Are Slot Machines Dead This Year?

Slot machines may be outdated and need to be replaced.

As we all know, many of the new generation do not want to keep playing the same luck based slot machines. They go into the casino and they choose to play the tables. Why? Because the table games provide them with more of a challenge, more of an ability to take charge of their fate and have the better outcome compared to pushing a button on a machine that slides the reels for you, and wherever they land, they land. While this might seem like a bad thing, there are many people speaking on the slot machine issues and finding out ways to overcome the problems casinos are currently facing with them.

The Verdict

Slot machine revenue is down for this year, and it is something that many officials are looking at and cringing because this is the money that goes into the cities and the states and they want to make sure that they can cover all of their bases.

As of right now, a new bill is set in place that will allow slot machines to undergo a revamp. They want to make them more like a Super Mario Brothers video game, then a regular slot based theme. This is going to put the challenge back into those Wheel of Fortune games that perhaps were not challenging enough and make additional cash off of these ones.

While there will still be some old school slots left on the casino floors, they are hoping that replacing most of the slots with newer, more fascinating and skill based ones will bring in a new crowd and perhaps even more money for the casino operators. While this might seem like a far-fetched idea, it is something that might just work with everyone talking about how they want just a little more skill in their casino games. The bill however, has to be passed and approved through the chain of command, so we have to sit tight when it comes to knowing whether or not this is something that they are going to move forward with.
If it is, then we can expect to see some new slot machines going in throughout many of the casinos in the world.
