In March 2018, 1x2 Gaming decided to try their own hands at this superhero business. We can’t blame them – superhero movies seem to be everywhere after The Dark Knight, and their artists seem to have made a bunch of interesting looking characters, even if they’re not particularly fleshed out beyond their names. With a 96% RTP and a myriad of features, you’ll find yourself a proper superhero fanboy after this title.
The game features a standard layout with five reels and three rows, and has thirty fixed paylines through which it rewards wins. With cool, heroic music in the background, and some good looking visuals, the title truly brings the idea of being a superhero to life, especially once the features start activating.
The most interesting way that the 5x3 playing field is utilized in this 1x2 Gaming release is with the presence of activated reels. A great number of symbols offer special features – Talisman will grant you a random cash prize, Blazer destroys enemy symbols with fireballs while Chain does the same thing with lightning for a cash prize. Demon’s power guarantees a single winning spin. Titan acts as a Wild even without activated reels, but when he finds himself in one, he expands to fill the reel, and Challenger, when in an activated reel, will reward ten free spins. Finally, Diviner offers the bonus feature, in which your existing win is multiplied by the multiplier you collect in the point and click game. All of these features do not trigger unless the symbols find themselves inside an activated reel.
Thanks to the traditional payline structure, you should have no issues getting used to how the title plays. All wins are paid from left to right, following one of the thirty paylines. You need at least three icons following the payline to reward a win.
You can choose your wager between $0.30 up to $60 per spin. You can choose to display the amount of money you have available in either cash or coins, whichever strikes your fancy.
Finally, you have quite a detailed Autoplay settings menu, through which you can decide how many spins you want, as well as when Autoplay stops – on any win, or when hitting a special feature, if a win exceeds a certain amount or if your total balance increases or falls beyond a certain threshold.
It goes without saying that you should strive to hit as many Activated reels as you possibly can. Unfortunately, there’s no way to guarantee when or if one will be triggered or not, so all you can do is hope for the best.
Beyond the big three, being the Expanding Wild, Free Spins, and the Bonus multiplier game, our favorite minor feature was without a doubt Blazer’s fireball destruction. It seemed the most frequent in our playtesting, and it offers some decent wins.
As with most other titles, Justice Machine offers a mobile version if you choose to play it. The differences are mostly related to the UI, everything else is exactly the same.
