While the Egyptian pantheon is expansive and includes a great host of gods, you don’t outrank Ra if you know what’s good for you. The bird-headed deity was the supposed father of the pharaoh’s bloodline, from who all subsequent pharaohs drew their authority from. So it’s no surprise that Push Gaming decided that their 2017 release would focus on this powerful, influential god. You can tell a lot of care went into the graphics for this game. The pyramids off in the distance make for a nice backdrop, as does the wind blowing across the dunes, carrying sand along with it. Gameplay wise, it feels similar to another of Push Gaming’s releases, called Tiki Tumble. Its RTP is 96.4%.

The game is played on a 5x4 playing field with 40 fixed paylines. Gamblers will have to contend with two special features the title offers them – the first being a simple set of nudging Wilds, while the other is a free spins bonus with stacked Wilds on certain reels.

Nudging Wilds are relatively simple in execution, and can make things quite interesting from time to time. If Ra is within the top two symbol positions, those reels will nudge down by two positions, with all other reels spinning instead, effectively prolonging how long you have access to the Wilds.

Collecting three or more golden Scatter symbols activates the free spins feature. Each Scatter rewards one or two free spins, so the maximum you can hope for are ten extra turns to start with. Any Scatters you collect while the feature is active add one more free spin to the equation. Also during free spins, the first, third and fifth reel are always full of Wilds, and remain persistently so until the feature ends.

How to Play

Unlike Tiki Tumble, which had an interaction between it’s two Wild-centric features, that connection is missing here. You have a set number of free spins, and the reels are always covered in Wilds, meaning nudging Wilds don’t make an appearance there. Nudges also expire more quicker in this game. And yet, despite it all, the pays seem to be around the same best we can tell. It’s not as fun without the interaction, but if you’re worried about wins, it won’t affect things.

You can wager between $0.20 up to $100 per spin, which is a rather nice gesture for more casual gamblers, as they only have to pay $0.20 for 40 active paylines, which is a rather nice deal for them. The largest jackpot you can win is worth 500,000 coins.

The Autoplay option is available, allowing players to spin without having to press the button over and over. It offers gamblers a win threshold and a loss limit, but lacks any settings to tell the game to pause on jackpots or free spins so you can bask in your victory afterwards.

Strategy & Tips

We don’t have much in ways of strategy to tell you here. Don’t get overconfident after a win, as it will rarely award a win, so make sure you keep your wager to something you can afford.
