We have mixed feelings about the visuals of this slot. Some effects, like invading Wilds, can look absolutely fantastic. But most animations tend to be rather bland, with a little flair to them. Symbol design depicts the five warring factions and the tools of their trade. The background image remains static throughout, only swapping colours during free spins.

So, what icons can you find in this game? You will find all symbols split into higher and lower paying tiers. Low-value icons include a rucksack, an explosive barrel, a bow and arrow, a spell-book, and a sword and shield. High paying symbols are the gnome thief, dwarf demolition man, elven archer, fire-wielding sorcerer, and a proud human knight.

How to Play

Cash of Kingdoms is played on a 5x3 board with 15 fixed paylines. It uses a different layout compared to most other Microgaming releases. It’s a bit confusing at first glance, but you quickly get used to it.

The Spin button is on the right side of the screen, with all of the options hidden within the menus. Selecting Autoplay allows you to choose the number of spins to be played. In a separate tab, you can set the number of coins per payline and the value of each coin. This allows you to set your wager between $0.15 and $480 per spin. One coin is equal to one dollar, so you don’t have to bother with complex coin conversions.

Three or more identical icons in consecutive positions from left to right form a winning combination. The said win will only award cash if it follows one of the fifteen fixed paylines. The only symbol exempt from this rule is Scatter, which pays from any position.

Strategy & Tips

Collect three Scatters on the second, third and fourth reel at the same time to win 10 free spins. During extra turns, any additional Scatters that appear will grant one more free spin. Theoretically, this means you could have an unlimited amount of extra turns, though the chances of that are super slim.

Wilds have a chance to appear stacked on the second and fourth reel during normal gameplay. Once free spins are active, the chance for stacked Wilds to appear in these positions is even higher!

If you have fully stacked Wild on the second or fourth reel, you can activate Invading Wilds. The Wilds will ‘invade’ the third reel, and turn it fully Wild, too. If this happens during free spins, a 2x multiplier is applied.

Mobile Version

There weren’t any differences between the desktop and mobile versions of this Microgaming release. In fact, they even use the same layout, which is a bit annoying on desktop.
