Play’n GO has released another music-related slot titled Annihilator!
The new release has been inspired by the famous Canadian thrash metal band of the same name.
Rocking the Reels
With the five-reel and ten-payline slot, the Swedish online casino games developer wanted to pay a tribute to the band.
They are celebrating “their decades of influence on the metal scene”, the provider said.
The legendary Jeff Waters, the band’s frontman, is one of music’s most celebrated guitarists. Taking influence from bands such as Megadeth, 3 Doors Down, and Slipknot, he is ranked third in The 100 Greatest Metal Guitarists book.
Annihilator features several of the group’s biggest hits including a track from their latest album Ballistic, Sadistic.
Moreover, Waters himself, appears as an animated Wild, shredding on his iconic guitar and setting the reels on fire.
The game also has several exciting features named for some of their most famous albums and tracks, Fun Palace, Set the World on Fire, and In Command.
Another Hit
Play’n GO’s newest game joins the slot supplier’s ever-growing stable of music-based games. It follows the footsteps of other successful previous titles such as House of Doom and Sabaton.
Also, more recently, the developer released a game based on the thrash-metal band Testament.
CPO Martin Zettergren explained the collaboration process, as well as the game’s appeal to fans and the wider audience.
“There was a real collaborative effort to give this game its level of realism and detail,” he said. This included visiting Jeff’s UK studio to capture the voice and video recordings.
“We worked together every step of the way,” he added.
“Music fans will love the nods to their iconic songs, albums, and characters throughout the game. At the same time, slot lovers will enjoy the fabulous gameplay and the variety of unique features that the game contains.”
“There really is something for everyone,” Zettergren concluded.
