Facebook Announces the Best Games of 2013

Facebook has unveiled its list of the top games of 2013 and it’s topped by Criminal Case a hidden object adventure game crafted by Paris, France-based developers, Pretty Simple.
Criminal Case players are tasked with investigating a crime scene.

Criminal Case was named the best of nearly two dozen games, including seven midcore/hardcore games, five arcade games and five mobile casino games on Facebook. About one-third of Facebook’s top games of 2013 were cross-platform games, with other versions available on the web and on mobile devices.

The games were selected by Facebook staff based on criteria such as the overall quality, the popularity, user ratings and how well they were integrated with the Facebook interface.

Surprisingly, eight of the 23 games on Facebook’s top games of 2013 were crafted by indie developers.

Most of the games that made the list were released in 2013, but four of the top games were actually released in 2012: Candy Crush Saga, Farmville 2, and two super popular casino games on Facebook, Slotomania and DoubleDown Casino.
